To tackle disease we need evidence to be generated through every type of health research study. The Global Health Network conference aimed to bring together health research teams, organisations, health-workers, policy makers and practitioners to explore together how health research can be embedded into every healthcare setting. The conference took place at the University of Cape town iN South Africa from 24-25th November, 2022.

Uganda Virus Research Institute(UVRI) commemorated the International HIV/AIDS and Candle-light day on the 1^st of December 2022. The main celebrations were at Uganda Virus Research Institute (UVRI) but started with a community sensitisation walk with a band at 8:30am to 9:00am. The official celebrant was Assistant Director Dr Tom Lutalo who ably represented Prof Kaleebu Pontiano. 

Research Management Training workshop

The EACCR 3 invites applications for a short-term training in research management involving practical skills in grant negotiation, stakeholder analysis and identification, uptake and dissemination of research findings and monitoring and evaluation at both proposal development and post proposal stage. The training will take place from the 13^th to 15^th February 2023 at Uganda Virus Research Institute, Entebbe Uganda.

KASH is the KEMRI Annual Scientific and Health Conference launched in 2011 with the mission to: mainstream the scientific and health agenda of KEMRI by Dissemination, sharing and digesting various scientific outputs and other allied products including networking and strengthening Partnerships and collaborations with view to Improving on Health and Quality of life.
