Training Opportunity: Research Management

Research Management Training workshop

The EACCR 3 invites applications for a short-term training in research management involving practical skills in grant negotiation, stakeholder analysis and identification, uptake and dissemination of research findings and monitoring and evaluation at both proposal development and post proposal stage. The training will take place from the 13th to 15th February 2023 at Uganda Virus Research Institute, Entebbe Uganda.

This training is regional and organized by the EACCR3 project. The aim is to deliver hands on practical skills in management of research projects and contribute to the overall objective of retention of the independent African researchers.

Eligibility: Priority will be given to applicants from institutions that have not participated in similar training before and should be staff from institutions that make up the EACCR3 consortium. Applicants should be study Coordinators, Trials & Study Managers, Investigators, Accounts staff and administrators.

Course Bursary: Selected participants from outside Uganda will receive a bursary to cover flights from within Eastern Africa, accommodation, and meals. Please note that no per diem will be paid.

Application Procedure: Applicants should complete the course application form attached here with, and send along with a detailed CV to Janet Nanseko, via email address jnanseko@uvri.go.ug and copy to smusoke@uvri.go.ug before 23 December 2022, 16.00hrs EAT. Applications will be reviewed, and successful candidates will be notified shortly afterwards by email.
