Research into Policy and Practice - Case Studies Survey
Bridging the gap between research and policy remains a persistent challenge. Many researchers, especially PhD students, early-career scientists, and regional project teams, still face practical difficulties in translating their findings into meaningful impact. The EDCTP Knowledge Hub’s Research into Policy Toolkit is designed to help researchers generate, package, and communicate evidence for policy and practice change.
The EDCTP Knowledge Hub team seek to enrich the toolkit with practical insights that future researchers can apply by way of a collection of real-world case studies. Through a brief series of questions, the case studies will highlight lessons learned, challenges faced, and strategies used to influence policy and practice, which will then be published within the toolkit. There will also be an opportunity to follow-up with a filmed story-driven conversation to accompany the text. The intention is that this series will provide a platform for scientists at different career stages, from PhD students to senior investigators, both from Africa and abroad, to share their personal experiences of turning research into action.
We would be delighted if you shared your experience with the EDCTP Knowledge Hub community and are reaching out to invite you to participate in this endeavour. If you are interested, please read through and complete the brief set of questions in this form before 3rd October 2025. The data collected in this form will be stored securely and will only be accessed by The Global Health Network. For more information, please visit hub.tghn.org/privacy.
We thank you in advance for your participation.
