COVID-19 Uganda Update 25-04-2020
All 1,408 samples tested today at the UVRI were negative for covid-19. 19 cases are still in stable condition in hospitals. The total confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Uganda still stands at 75 while there are 46 covid-19 recoveries in Uganda.
Out of the confirmed foreign truck drivers, 4 Tanzanian and 6 Kenyan truck drivers have returned to their respective countries. A cumulative of 20,329 samples have been tested for Covid-19 in Uganda. A total of 1,616 contacts were listed for follow-up. Of these, 1,323 have completed the mandatory 14 day follow up while 293 contacts to the confirmed cases are being followed up by the Ministry of Health Uganda surveillance officers
Remember to wash your hands regularly and thoroughly with an alcohol-based hand rub or wash them with soap and water. Also, continue to follow WHO guidelines on social distancing, keep at least 4 meters from the individual nearest to you.
