Covid-19 Kenya Update 01-12-2020
Today, 551 people have tested positive for the Coronavirus, from a sample size of 4,675 tested in the last 24 hours, bringing to 84,169 the number of confirmed positive cases in the country. The cumulative tests are now 893,646. From the cases 525 are Kenyans while 26 are foreigners. In terms of gender 301 are males and 250 females. The youngest is a seven-day old infant, while the oldest is 100.
Distribution of the cases by Counties is as follows; Nairobi 212, Kilifi 39, Mombasa 35, Nyeri 33, Embu 30, Nandi 25, Machakos 22, Siaya 21, Kajiado 19, Kiambu 18, Lamu 16, Nyandarua 14, Turkana 11, Uasin Gishu 8, Taita Taveta 7, Kisumu 7, Meru 6, Garissa 6, Kwale 5, Samburu 5, Murang’a 3, Mandera 2, Nakuru 2, Busia 1, Laikipia 1, Kakamega 1, Wajir 1 and Tharaka Nithi 1.
Distribution of cases by sub counties is as follows; In Nairobi, the 212 cases are from Kibra (62), Lang’ata (32), Westlands (30), Dagoretti North (14), Starehe (9), Embakasi South and Makadara (8) cases each, Embakasi West, Kamukunji and Ruaraka (7) cases each, Dagoretti South, Embakasi Central and Kasarani (5) cases each, Mathare (4) Embakasi East, Embakasi North, and Roysambu (3) cases cases each.
